Kaidy Stautz

Kaidy is a Research Associate at the BHRU. KaidyHis current research focuses on four questions:


Impulsivity – Do individual differences in impulsivity/self-control help to explain differences in health-related behaviours and responses to interventions to change these behaviours?

Inequality – Does the impact of inequality on self-control and related cognitive functions help to explain socioeconomic differences in health-related behaviours?

Environments – Which specific features of physical and digital environments influence health-related behaviours?

Policy – How can public support for health-related policies such as sugar taxes be increased?


Kaidy has previously conducted research into the effects of alcohol marketing and counter-advertising on consumption and cognition. His PhD research focused on impulsivity and peer influence as predictors of adolescent substance use.
