Does wine glass size influence how much we buy? A replication study
One of our previous studies suggested that wine sales increase by almost 10% if wine is served in a larger glass (here). In our new replication study, published here in BMC Research Notes, we explored the effect of wine glass size on purchasing for on-site consumption in two bars in Cambridge. A qualitative analysis of sugary drink consumers’ perceptions of using smaller compared with larger bottles when given a fixed amount of cola
Sub-dividing a fixed amount of a sugar-sweetened beverage into smaller vs. larger bottles could help curb their consumption but, so far, no studies have tested this possibility. To explore the possible effects of small bottles, we conducted a qualitative study, published in the journal Appetite.
